  1. Under Registered Users, type a value for Email or Username.

  2. Type a value for Password, then click Sign in.

Select Remember My Sign-In to populate the Email or Username field the next time you log in.

If you are not registered, click Register Here to fill in and submit the form. Registration is free.

Getting Familiar with 3D ContentCentral

The left panel includes the Supplier Certified and User Library browser tabs. Click either tab to display a tree structure with categories and subcategories where the models reside. You can either:

The right panel of the window provides the Navigation bar and the Catalog Display Area. In the Catalog Display Area, you can view the supplier's catalog or the selected model category.

You can hide the left panel to provide a larger viewing area.

To hide or display the left panel:

  1. Click to hide the list and display only the right panel.

  2. Click to show the list and display both panels.

Navigation Tools:

Home. Click to return to the Supplier Certified page.

My Profile. View and edit your profile, including password updates.

Share a Model. Submit a model to the User Library catalog.

About. View information about 3D ContentCentral.

Help. Click to view help topics.

My Profile

This screen allows you to enter and change profile information, including updating passwords.

Click My Profile on the Navigation bar

You can add and edit information for the following:

If you select this option, users can contact you regarding the models you contribute to the User Library.

 Click Submit to submit changes or click Clear Screen to start over.

Share a Model

You can submit a model to the User Library browser tab so that other 3D ContentCentral users can view and download your design.

Click Share a Model on the Navigation bar

There are three steps to this process:

Step 1: Authorization to Share Model

Accept terms of agreement or Do Not Accept terms of agreement.

Step 2: Model Information

Input the model information:

Categorization:

This information controls the sorting in the User Library catalog tree.

Select to publish your name and company information with the model.

NOTE: For SolidWorks assemblies, you upload a ZIP file which must include all referenced parts of the assembly. The ZIP file must have the same name as the assembly file. For example, to upload an assembly named motor.sldasm, the ZIP file must be named motor.zip.

Step 3: Confirmation of Submittal

Once the file is uploaded, a message appears if the transfer was successful. If successful, the file is reviewed and then posted in the User Library.

Viewing and Downloading a Model

You can view 3D or 2D models or download models in your selected format.

  1. In the Catalog Display Area, click last 30 days if you want to restrict the selection to models contributed within the last 30 days.

  2. On the User Library tab, select a category and subcategory.

The models appear in the Catalog Display Area.

  1. Click the image of the model you want to view or download.

    The model information and a preview of the model appear in the Catalog Display Area. The information for each models includes:

You can rotate, pan, or zoom the image using mouse buttons.

  1. If available, under Sizing Options, select a size and click Display.

  2. Click Download.

  3. Click the file format and, if applicable, the version you required.

  4. Click Go.

    A confirmation of file format and version appears with a link to continue the download.

    If you download the model in SolidWorks format, you can drag the link into an open session of SolidWorks, or you can click the link to download the file.

  5. Click link to complete download.
