Display Alternate Versions

Go to: Models tab>select model under Model Name>Alternate Versions

If a 3D ContentCentral user believes there is something wrong with a model, the user can post an alternate version of the model and other users can then access the alternate version when they view your model. If you do not want to make the alternate version available to 3D ContentCentral users, you can disassociate the model, which removes it as an alternate model but keeps it in the User Library. As a supplier, you should investigate alternate models to see if you need to modify your original model and upload a fixed version.

You can control whether 3D ContentCentral users can post alternate versions for your models by using the Enable Alternate versions for my models option under 3D ContentCentral Display Settings on Catalog>ContentCentral Information.

Alternate Versions for [Model name] is the default dialog box that appears when you select a model from the model list and then click Alternate Versions. If there are no alternate versions for the model, the dialog box displays No Model items Found.

To disassociate an alternate version from your model:

  1. Select the alternate model(s) to disassociate.

  2. Click Disassociate.

When a model is disassociated, it is still available in the User Library.
